Rare Vintage Silver Lidded And Footed Colonial Musical Powder Box

  

This is a beautiful rare vintage silver powder case. Made in Denmark is marked on the edge of the lid. It's an ornate design of what appears to look like a group of colonial period people around the box and on the lid.

Lovely high reliefs of the wine festival of the villagers. Antique music box Thorens Pre Reuge Musical. The music plays beautifully when wound. Excellent condition considering its vintage age.

The powder box measures 3" tall x 4 ¾" diameter. This was a family piece and is in excellent condition. There are no tags or packaging. Note: All of this information was passed on to me over the years.
