RARE Vintage Mexican Silver LOS CASTILLO Ornate Bead ROSEWOOD 26 Necklace. Los Castillo was established in 1939 by Antonio Castillo and his brothers in Taxco. Antonio began his long career working for William Spratling. He later married Margot van Voorhies Carr and they opened the Los Castillo taller. An early Castillo business card read: "A lady without jewels is like a night without stars" (1954). Antonio Castillo died in 2000. This Hand Wrought ROSEWOOD BEAUTY by Antonio Castillo was created in 1980 (TA-01) in Taxco.

The Larger Round Beads are very Ornate in design, having used a sterling silverplate technique alongside smaller silver beads. The gorgeous Rosewood Tube Beads add Elegance to this 26 Necklace which can be worn its full length or worn as a double row shortened length. The back clasp is a sterling silver box and tongue which clicks securely in a locked position.

This necklace is in SUPERB Vintage Condition, Collector Quality! Length: 26 full length, but can be doubled to wear a shorter length. Width: 1/2" larger Beads, 3/4" long rosewood tubular beads.
