Helbros Vintage Chronograph with original box from World War II 2. This is a rare set of a vintage Helbros mechanical chronograph watch with its original wooden hinged box. The set is from the World War II era. The box is solid wood lined with velvet with an advertisement for Uncle Sam war bonds, dating it to the 1940s. The watch is a mechanical chronograph with three pushers.

The top pusher starts the chronograph, the bottom pusher stops, and the middle pusher resets the chronograph. The original hands are heat blued and changes from deep dark blue to royal deep blue depending on lighting. Please see photos for assessment of the condition of the watch, as it is showing some signs of its age.

Please note that the movement would need a service. When the chronograph is started, the chrono minute hand advances two increments (two minutes) within the first 10 seconds of activating.

The chrono minute hand then advances by one increment (1 minute) for every subsequent minute progressed, but it advances a few seconds after the second hand hits the 0 marker.
