9 Rare Vintage War Era Unsilvered Stencil Glass Christmas Ornament Marks Bro box

  

Hard to find set of 9 early war era glass ornaments, box and 9 unique vintage metal ornament hangers. I believe these are Corning glass ornaments that were decorated by the Marks Brothers Keystone Toy Company of Boston, Massachusetts. The printed stencil scenes include three winter scenes of children playing in the snow, building a snowman, sledding, and playing with their Scottie dog, three decorated with bells and bows and music notes, and three with colored bands. One ornament has an incorrect cap. It has a shiny Bright cap but I believe this is a replacement.

The other caps all are non-ribbed and marked with made in US of A. The glass colors are beautiful with some unusual colors including orange, pink, purple, and green. The stenciling and painting is in fabulous condition for its age with minimal paint loss. One ornament has some damage at the pike that is not quite covered by the cap, I've included a picture.

These ornaments show signs of use as they should but I feel are in very, very good condition for their age. I believe this is the original box marked glass decorated tree ornaments, made in USA manufactured by Mark's Brothers company Boston Massachusetts USA factory Dover New Hampshire. Includes original JCPenney price tag of 49 cents. Box does have a piece of tape that was used to shut it and that has pulled off the cardboard on the inside edge. The piece of cardboard is still attached to the tape and I believe that this could be restored with some success.

Otherwise the box is in fairly nice condition with minor creasing and some light water marks. I've included them in a picture with the box top. Ornaments will be packed carefully, each ornament will have a bedding of cotton and wrapped so that it cannot move or touch another ornament.

The box of ornaments will then be put in a sturdy box and then in a packing box. Please see all pictures as they are part of the description.
